News 18-Nov-2008 - AUSTRALIA- 26th November

Australia, the much-anticipated romantic action-adventure movie starring Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman, alongside the Top End’s breathtaking scenery, brings a touch of Hollywood to an often forgotten episode in Australia’s history.

The film by internationally acclaimed director Baz Luhrmann centres on Lady Sarah Ashley (Nicole Kidman), an English aristocrat who reluctantly joins forces with a rugged cattle drover (Hugh Jackman) to save the remote cattle station she inherited from the clutches of local cattle barons.

The two embark on an epic journey to drive 2000 cattle across Top end Australia, only to find themselves caught in the bombing of Darwin, Australia’s only World War II battle fought on home soil.

News 17-Nov-2008 - NOW SHOWING

'Quantum of Solace' continues the high octane adventures of James Bond from 'Casino Royale'. Picking up literally hours after the previous film left off, after being betrayed by Vesper, the woman he loved, 007 fights the urge to make his latest mission personal. Having captured Mr. White, and in pursuing his determination to uncover the truth, Bond and 'M' interrogate Mr. White who reveals the organization which blackmailed Vesper to steal Bond's casino winnings is far more complex and dangerous than anyone had imagined.

News 16-Nov-2008 - NEW THIS WEEK - IN BRUGES

Bruges (pronounced “broozh”), the most well-preserved medieval city in the whole of Belgium, is a welcoming destination for travellers from all over the world. But for hit men Ray (Colin Farrell) and Ken (Brendan Gleeson), it could be their final destination; a difficult job has resulted in the pair being ordered right before Christmas by their London boss Harry (two-time Academy Award nominee Ralph Fiennes) to go and cool their heels in the storybook Flemish city for a couple of weeks. Ken and Ray’s vacation becomes a life-and-death struggle of darkly comic proportions and surprisingly emotional consequences.
